Where Will Students Be Eating during the SSTP Program?

Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner! Where will SSTP students get their nutrition this summer? The University of Iowa has 2 dining halls: Burge Market Place and Hillcrest Market Place.

Burge Market Place will be the place where all students will eat a majority of the time. The building is conveniently located in the same building where students will be staying! Students who have their research on the west side of campus will eat at Hillcrest Market Place for lunch. All students are expected to come back to Burge Market Place for dinner.

Both market places are buffet style so eat as much as you want! If you like to plan ahead of what you are going to eat, no fear! The marketplaces upload their daily menu online. Additionally, if you have food allergies, it is a good idea to look at the menus ahead of time to see what you can or cannot eat. The online menus provide “Allergy and Nutrition Badges” next to each item on the menu.  Click here to view Burge’s menu or click here to view Hillcrest’s menu.

If you have any severe food allergies, make sure to let us know!
