Hopefully, by now you’ve started your application to SSTP! If you have, you’ll notice that your application is broken up into two, distinct parts.
Creating an account, providing demographic information (including an email address!), writing essays
Telling us a little bit more about yourself and your academic experiences.
This second part all happens on what’s known at the Belin-Blank Center as the checklist page. The checklist page looks something like this:
On the checklist page, the green dots mean you’ve provided us with the needed information and the red dots mean there’s still something that’s missing from your application.
If you’re not sure what you’re missing, simply click on the red dot to expand the list. There will be another red dot by all of the missing information in that particular heading. Like this:
The checklist page is the page you’ll come back to again and again throughout the application and registration process in SSTP.
Here are a few things the checklist page will tell us about you:
1. Your research interests
2. Whether or not you plan to apply for financial aid
3. The name and contact information for the person writing your letters of recommendation
4. Whether or not you need an airport shuttle
So make sure you check out your checklist page and make sure all parts are complete. Green dots=completed checklist=happy program staff at the Belin-Blank Center.
